An Information Revolution David McGuire

My personal experiences The proposals would mean Everyone having the right information at the right time Improved communication between the hospitals via telehealth; telecare Opportunity for me to have taken some control Reduced travel for me and less stress

In North East Lincolnshire we have accord, a membership scheme, where local people are elected to sit on one of four Commissioning Boards where we have a say in improving health and adult social care services in the area. These public representatives go out and listen to the public views about those services to see how they can be improved.

An educational programme for people with long-term health conditions, e.g. stroke, COPD, etc. People complete a self assessment questionnaire via the internet, telephone and in the future through interactive TV Gives you a report of information on any questions answered ‘Don’t know or No’ All results stored in database which allows the organisation to identify any gaps in education / knowledge.

Services4Me This website is being launched in 2011 that will offer a directory of all adult social care, health care, voluntary and community services in North East Lincolnshire. In the future people will be able to write a review of services they have used, look at star ratings of services, join a forum to chat, create their own shopping basket of services that interest them and book on-line and download or print information leaflets.

Questions If I do not know I will find out for you!
