Central to informing the commissioning of health and social care and other services. A statutory requirement under the Health and Social Care Act

2 Our vision for health and wellbeing By working with communities and residents, to increase the opportunities for all adults and children to enjoy a healthy and fulfilling life and reduce health inequalities

3 Health inequality in Merton Merton residents are generally healthy and health outcomes However there remain stark differences in health between areas. Most strikingly there is a gap in life expectancy of nearly nine years for men, and over eleven years for women, between the least and the most deprived areas of Merton.
