3 Hospital Background  A small hospital in Houston.  Established in May 2001.  Specially concentrate on physician.  Having a staff of around 300.  Annual revenue more than $100,000.

4 Client Need  Increase hospital popularity.  Increase annual revenue.  Improve patient satisfaction.

5 Client Requirements  The system should allow patients to take appointments online, view test results and view doctors schedule.  The system should be based on central database system and should be accessed from any computer via internet.  Design a user friendly web site for patients and doctors.

6 Client Requirements  The website should include facilities like Searching the online phone directory. Creating and maintaining patient information.  Patient history and test reports are stored in centralized database & maintained for doctors reference.

7 Client Requirements  Career opportunity for doctors and staff should be provided.  The system should allow doctors to view availability of medicine stock in the hospital.  The patient should be able to view the rooms online before booking any.

8 Client Requirements  The doctors resume (Specialties) should be uploaded on the site for patients reference.  The facilities like food, recreation center for patients and doctors should be mentioned on site.

9 Business value Tangible Values  Hospital business will increase by 35 %.  Diagnosis accuracy will increase by 60 %.  Staff requirement will decrease by 30 % and staff ability will increase by 45 %.

10 Business value Intangible Values  Patient service will increase.  Increases brand recognition.  Patient satisfaction will increase.

11 Special issues  New system should be user friendly.  Time consideration.  Easy database updates.  Top-level security clearance needed by project team to work with data.  Training to the staff of hospital.
