Communication Folder/ Homework Folder Communication folder is ESSENTIAL! We check the folder every morning for notes from you regarding transportation changes, and or other concerns. I need to receive a note when the transportation procedure changes. Homework folder is ESSENTIAL! Homework packets will be sent home in your child’s homework folder. Please return completed homework packets on Fridays.

Attendance Attendance is IMPORTANT! Please try not to schedule vacations so that your child misses school. This could put them behind. If you child is SICK Children should be fever free for 24 hours without medicine before returning to school. We do not want to be passing bad germs around!

We will encourage each child to take responsibility for their actions and provide a positive learning environment by teaching ways to handle situations that arise. The main focus will be responding to positive behavior. If we have a concern about your child’s behavior and need your support, a note will be sent home. Otherwise, we will handle behaviors in the classroom and work toward the goal of developing students’ abilities to make positive choices with their behavior. Discipline

FIELD TRIPS Media Center Mrs. Martin is our media specialist. We will check out books every week and leave them in the classroom until the next time we visit the media center. If you would like to have your child bring his/her book home to read, please let me know. Our field trip this year will be announced at a later date.

In order to best meet the needs of your kindergarten child, we do not allow younger siblings to attend activities. Thank you for understanding this request.

Cupcakes or cookies for your child’s birthday celebration are allowed in the classroom.
