Special Schedule at East Montgomery Special Classes will be on a eight-day schedule with P.E. every other day. Students may wear shoes other than tennis shoes on non-P.E. days. Recess will still be on a daily basis. Consider safety when students are selecting shoes for school.

Agendas Homework will be written in agendas nightly, Monday- Thursday. Please initial each night.

What is a standard or target? A standard or target is what students should know before going to the next step. Standards are determined by the state of Tennessee. You may go to the Tennessee website to view these.

Third Grade Standards All third grade standards can be found at: m.shtml m.shtml Also a newsletter will be sent home every Monday with a spelling word list, reading vocabulary list, along with what we are learning in each subject.

Grading System Daily graded papers are sent home throughout the week. Progress reports issued every three weeks. These may be accessed through PowerSchool. Report cards every nine weeks. These may be accessed through PowerSchool. Grades can be accessed anytime on PowerSchool. Updated weekly.

Grading Scale A = B = C = D = F = Focus on progress not grades!

S.T.E.M. Science, Technology, Engineering and Math Third grade is piloting the STEM program at EMES Fourth Grade is now also doing STEM this year!

Money Please enclose money or checks in an envelope with name, amount, and purpose written on it. Lunch money should reference the six-digit lunch number. Money can be deposited via computer with a debit/credit card through Parent Online. Check the Nutrition Services Page on our CMCSS website.
