WHO AM I?

WHAT CAN YOU EXPECT FROM US? An individualized academically challenging environment Diverse learning experiences A no-nonsense policy A clean slate everyday An open door RESPECT!

WHAT DO WE EXPECT OF YOU? Follow classroom and school rules Listen Ask questions A fresh start everyday Talk to me if something is difficult Give some effort!

CLASSROOM RULES Be prepared... With all books, assignments, paper, and writing utensils when you enter the classroom. Be respectful… Of your peers, their opinions, our classroom time, and me. Be attentive… During all of our classroom activities by listening and participating. Be teachable… Everyday by entering the classroom with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

A CLOSER LOOK BE PREPARED I have my homework completed and ready to turn in. I have all of my necessary supplies. I have something to write with. I have looked at the daily agenda and know what we are doing today. I have filled out my agenda. BE RESPECTFUL I am polite to my teacher and my other students. I do not interrupt the teacher. I raise my hand when I have something to say. I do not bully other students, and I will offer only constructive criticism. I do not cause distractions that disrupt classroom time.

A CLOSER LOOK BE ATTENTIVE I do not talking during lecture time. I take notes during lecture time. My conversations with my classmates are relevant and on- topic. I am not on my cell phone unless for academic use. I participate in peer reviews and class discussions. BE TEACHABLE I try to have a positive attitude. I attempt all my work. I talk to the teacher about what I am struggling with.

MANAGEMENT PLAN Corrective Actions Three-strike system 1.Warning 2.Warning 3.Mark in behavior card You will have to sign a behavior card receipt. Supportive Rewards Verbal or written praise Positive call home Listen to music Talk time ANY BEHAVIOR CONSIDERED RUDE & DISCOURTEOUS TOWARDS A TEACHER, VIOLENT OUTBURSTS, OR DESTRUCTION OF CLASSROOM POLICY IS AN AUTOMATIC OFFICE REFERRAL.

EVERYDAY CLASSROOM PROCEDURES Using the bathroom Raise your hand and ask if you may go Fill out bathroom pass in agenda with date and time Bring the filled out pass to a teacher Sharpening your pencil Sharpen your pencil before class if needed Otherwise, wait until I am done teaching to get up. If your pencil breaks during teaching, get up and get one from the student section, but please put it back after class.

EVERYDAY CLASSROOM PROCEDURES Getting the attention of the class We will count to five. By five, all students should be silent and still. Ending class & dismissal You are not dismissed until I say “Have a good day” Do not pack up early or get out of your seats When I say “Have a good day,” you may pack up your stuff, return anything you have borrowed from me, and turn in work to the bins on your way out.

TECHNOLOGY PROCEDURES We are a BYLD school! Look next to the daily agenda on the whiteboard for the technology card. If the red card is showing, we will not be using technology today. All devices should be put away If the green card is showing, we will be using technology. All devices should be face down on your desk until instructed to use them. You will receive only one warning if devices are out when they shouldn’t be. Misusing your device will result in automatic office referral and loss of technology privileges.
