Tips for Preparing a Competitive Application Review all application requirements for the program to ensure you are eligible and prepared. Clearly explain in your statement of interest your motivations for applying for the program and identify the background, experiences, and skills that you believe will make you successful in the program. Demonstrate a strong academic background. Obtain strong letters of recommendation and give two weeks notice to recommender; ensure they arrive on time.

Tips Continued Include in your application all relevant extracurricular, community, or volunteer experiences and highlight any leadership roles in these efforts. List all relevant academic honors and awards. Proofread all aspects of your application carefully; submit all application materials on time.

THANKS!!! Questions, Comments, Concerns??? Please ask or come see us in the Counseling Office during your lunch period or after school…or browse the enrichment binder to research programs.
