My name is Robin Stewart. I have lived in Lake County since I am a graduate of Mt. Dora High School. I received my Bachelor’s Degree at UCF and I went on to receive a Masters Degree in Technology. I have been teaching in Lake County since I was selected as Teacher of the Year in 1998 and was fortunate to be honored with being in the top three chosen for Lake County. Kindergarten and First grade are very special years in your child's school career! It is a time to experience important transitions and acquire new skills. It is going to be a wonderful year!

We have a peanut allergy in our room, so please be cautious of what you send in. *Our classroom can run cool. Feel free to have your child keep a sweatshirt in his/her backpack. *School begins at 8:25am and ends at 3:15pm. *Notes need to be sent if for absences as well as changes in dismissal procedure.

I use Whole Brain Teaching as a model for classroom management and instruction. The goal is to keep students actively involved in learning and instruction. We also participate in Brain Breaks on GoNoodle to help us focus.Whole Brain Teaching GoNoodle Students practice the rules and help each other follow the rules throughout the day. They work as teams to earn team points. The table with the most points earns “Movie Monday” with the teacher during lunch. Students also work on individual goals to earn stars on the Wall of Fame.
