8 Math All 3 rd grade students take common math assessments, based on the state GLCEs. Some concepts taught: Multiplication facts through 10 X 10 (challenge through 12 X 12) DivisionGraphing FractionsMoney – making change DecimalsGeometry Algebra

9 Rocket Math Rocket Math is a program to help students master basic math facts for all operations. These facts must become automatic so that students can do higher level problems. Unlike “Mad Minutes” Rocket Math takes into account students writing and processing speed. Each student begins at his/her individual level, and proceeds independently. As they finish a level students progress to the next level or next operation. Only two facts are introduced per day. See the parent letter for more details.
