10 Procedures Report Cards Classroom Constitution Homework/Classwork & Behavior Policies Sign and Return All Assessments Initial All Homework Send Any Money in an Envelope Labeled (Child’s Name, Teacher’s Name, -lunch $, trip $, etc.) Birthday Book (Your child will select a favorite book from home or school that is 5-10 minutes in length for the teachers to read to the entire class.) Birthday Invitations (Please send them from home, unless the entire class is invited.) Absent Notes (Child’s full name, days absent, and reason for absence, may e-mail note)

13 Everyone makes mistakes… “A mistake is a gift that you give to yourself… as long as you learn from it.” We will always try to have a day! –One reminder about following rules: (slow down and think about what you did and how to fix it) –Two reminders about behavior: (slow down, regroup, and plan to improve) –Three or more reminders about behavior: (stop, think about results of behavior, correct mistake, and conference with teacher and a note/phone call to parents to discuss consequences and plan for improvement). Note will need to be signed by parents – and returned to school the following day.

14 HOMEWORK/CLASSWORK POLICY Initial enVision Interactive Math Book page nightly Check homework to make sure it has been completed neatly and carefully Also, check the Take Home Folder Nightly Completed homework/classwork is a required skill which is documented on the report card. There may be times that your child may stay in for recess for one of the following reasons: re-teaching of a concept that may have been difficult to grasp during the instructional time, while completing homework, or not completing classwork throughout the day.

15 Important Information Peanut and Tree Nut Free Classroom Latex Free School Please provide 2 healthy snacks for your children (am and pm snack). If your child buys lunch, he/she still needs to pack snacks. Friday is still ORANGE DAY, but we are having a School Wide Pep Rally, please incorporate the some BLUE too! 50 th Celebration of Goodnoe Elementary!

16 Additional Information Scholastic Book Order Class Treats for Parties (Must be peanut and tree nut free and may not be processed in a factory, which processes nuts.) Lunch Money (Please send in an envelope with child’s name and teacher’s name.) ***YOUR CHILD MUST KNOW HIS/HER STUDENT ID NUMBER EnVision, First in Math and Journey user name and passwords will be sent home Absent Note/ E-mail- Child’s name, dates absent, and reason for absence need to be included. Send A Note To School in am if your child’s way home changes for the day.
