Homework Homework will begin the week of September 8 th. I will send home a letter attached to their homework folder that will give the details. We will also have family projects from time to time (Ex: Summer Sun).

Behavior 5 “caught being goods” for good behavior = a prize out of the treasure box on Friday. Clips are moved when the classroom rules are not followed. Students will lose recess time or station time if they are making poor choices. Please discuss clip moves with your child and impress upon them the importance of listening in class. Their behavior should not affect the learning of others.

School Info… The school’s discipline policy, including procedures regarding absence and tardiness, as well as dress code requirements are on-line at www.pearlandisd.orgwww.pearlandisd.org Report cards will be handwritten in kindergarten and we are on a nine week grading cycle. Progress reports will go home in-between report cards. Kindergarten will not send out the first progress report due to necessary testing time. If you have older children in PISD, they will have report card information available via Skyward on Wednesdays. Therefore, kindergarten paper report cards will be sent home on Wednesdays.

Field Trip We are working on our Kindergarten Zoo Field Trip information currently. ~November 13 th ~ If you are interested in helping by being a chaperone, you will need to complete a background check. Information on this is on the green paper. You will need a minimum of 3 days for it to clear, and it must be done annually.

Snacks Please send one healthy snack every day. You may send a water bottle with water. Please, no messy snacks. Our snack time is at approximately 1:15 pm. I keep some snacks handy always for those days snacks are forgotten. I will make a note on the peek when we are low. If you can help replenish, that would be great. Please keep all class treats – Nut Free!
