9th Grade Honors English If you are interested in seeing the requirements for Honors English next year visit…. http://www.avonlakecityschools.org/highschool/english_9_honors Must earn an "A" or "B" average throughout this year. Must achieve at LEAST a 10th grade level on the Gates MacGinitie Readability test. Must also complete the writing samples that will be evaluated by the middle school staff and the high school staff. *On website Must complete Summer Reading going into freshman year.
