1 Florida Standards Assessment Parent Night
Parents, thank you so much for coming out tonight. We understand that it’s the middle of the week and that everyone’s busy, but we have some important information to give out to you tonight regarding the FSA testing. With us working together as a team, your child will succeed! We’re going to make this simple and to the point, then give you a chance to ask questions. Let’s get started!! 3rd Grade

2 What is the Florida Standards Assessment?
A test that was designed to serve Florida students by measuring educational gains and progress. Measures student performance based on the Florida State Standards. Information from the assessment is used to drive student instruction. Florida’s K-12 assessment system measures students’ achievement of Florida’s education standards. These standards were developed and implemented to ensure that all students graduate from high school, ready for success in college, career, and life. The assessment supports instruction aswell as student learning, and test results help Florida’s educational leaders and stakeholders determine whether the goals of the education system are being met.
