2. Goals:
To build on the basic language arts skills: reading, writing, speaking, listening, language, and literature.
To help students enjoy language as art and entertainment.
To provide a supportive and fun classroom environment.
To help students discover new interests in reading and writing.

7. Homework Assignments:
All homework will be related to what we are studying in class.
When I have not assigned anything specifically, I expect students to read for at least 15 minutes a night.
Occasionally, students will work on long-term projects, but we will get started on them in school.

8. Grading Policy:
Writing/Projects 30% Classwork 45% Assessments 15% Homework 10% ASPEN is the Howard County online grade book that will be used by all teachers.
