JUNE 22 - JULY 17, 2015 For M.V.U.S.D. students currently enrolled Grades 9 to 12 Summer Classes will be held on the Creekside High School Campus Hayes Ave Murrieta, California DATES AND HOURS FOOD AND TRANSPORTATION WHO MAY ATTEND? TRADITIONAL and APEX CLASS ATTENDANCE APPLICATION PROCESS June 22nd- July 17th School will be closed July 3rd Morning Session - 7: :45 AM Afternoon Session - 11:15 AM - 2:30 PM Bus service will NOT be provided. Student drop off, pick up, and parking will be available. Cafeteria service will be available from 10:45 AM to 11:15 AM only. Summer School is offered only to students currently in grade 10 or higher who need to recover credits in core subjects. Freshmen may enroll in English I only. Any student who is absent more than 8 hours per class session will be dropped. Illness, vacation, and family emergencies are absences and cannot be excused. Please Note: FOUR tardies = 1 hr. of absence. Students may submit applications within the enrollment windows determined by their grade level (see below). There will be no applications accepted after May 29 th with the exception of current Seniors who need summer school to graduate. Students will be notified of their summer school course assignment by June 12 th. TRADITIONAL COURSES AVAILABLE CREDIT RECOVERY – English I, English II Traditional English courses are recommended for students who require assistance to access grade-level material Enrollment Windows Juniors only 4/13-17 Juniors and sophomores 4/20-4/24 or until courses filled Freshmen begin 4/27 and will continue until the 70 slots in each session are filled. Registration will end no later than May 29 th. Students applying to APEX (online) or traditional submit pages 2 and 3 Page 1 APEX ONLINE CREDIT RECOVERY APEX (online) students are assigned a 90 minute per- day time slot in the computer lab. Students must attend the lab daily and also work independently outside of class. All assessments will be administered on-site. Students who complete a course by the 10 th day of Summer School may attempt a 2 nd course. APEX summer school courses will meet UC/CSU requirements. APEX summer school courses do not meet NCAA course requirements for eligibility. Enrollment Priority: 1 st Non graduating seniors needing 10 or fewer credits followed by current juniors and lastly sophomores
