2. Early Dismissals
Phone call, , or Note from Parent/Guardian turned into HS Office as you enter building in the morning or brought down during HR.
Note must list (legal) reason & time for E. Dismissal.
Note must have phone number for office confirmation.
Note must be signed by Parent/Guardian.
Note must indicate who is picking up student.
Parent/Guardian must show ID in order to sign you out of building at requested time in the Main Office.

3. Late Arrivals
Must sign in at the HS Office with a valid note from Parent/Guardian.
Students without a valid note/excuse will be marked as an illegal tardy.
Please see Discipline Code in your handbook.
Any student arriving after 8:00 am without a valid note/excuse will not be able to participate in any after school events that day.

4. School Absence
Within 3 days of returning to school from a missed day(s), the student must submit a note from parent/guardian , or doctor to the HS Office.
Parents/Students are encouraged to submit excuses as soon as possible, upon returning to school.
All student absences will be marked as illegal/unexcused until a valid note is presented.
Illegal absences will result in the student receiving “0” credit on class work for those days.
Students that have missed 10 or more days and/or 10 or more class periods in a semester, or 20 or more days in a year, may be allowed grade for a course but NOT credit, and subject to repeating a class or all classes.
Students are allowed up to 10 days of medical excuses by a parent note. Medical absences over 10 days require a formal note from the Doctor.

5. Legal Excuses
The following excuses are recognized by the state of Pennsylvania as legal:
School required/sponsored activity/event
Illness, medical appointment or quarantine
Death in immediate family
Impassable roads as determined by the Director of Transportation.
Legal/Court proceedings

6. Student Lockers
Each student will be provided with a locker for their use.
All lockers remain the property of Jefferson-Morgan
Students are Not permitted to modify the locker in any way. Students may not place stickers, magnets, etc. on the outside of the lockers without Administrative approval.
Students are responsible for the contents of their assigned locker.
Lockers may be inspected/searched anytime and at the discretion of the building administration.
The contents of a student’s assigned locker are considered to be in the possession of that student regardless of who that property actually belongs to.
