16 RISING 9th Grade SCHEDULING TIMELINE
What is next? Students and parents complete course selections online through StudentVue by Friday, March 17th at 11:59 p.m. (Window closes at that time) As soon as online course selections are completed, the Scheduling Worksheet must be turned in to Counseling. Counselors will then meet with students and parents to finalize course requests. Please make sure you sign up early so that we can schedule your appointment. * Once your counselor meets with you in person to go over your classes it is submitted to the high school, which means we no longer have access to it. Really think about the classes you want to take because you will not be able to come back later and change them. *

17 How will you know when your counselor is going to meet with you?
Counselors will be meeting with students on a first come, first serve basis. As you turn in your completed Parent Approval/Request Form and Course Selection form (and have signed up for your classes online) counselors will set up a meeting time for you. Meeting times will be posted daily outside of the counseling office and in the 8th grade hallway. Your teachers will also have a copy of it. Please check daily to see when you are scheduled to meet. Make sure you show up for your scheduled meeting on time. We will eventually sign you up for a meeting if you have not turned in your form, so always check the posted lists. Please know that the longer you wait to turn everything in the more likely it will be that you may not get the electives you want next year.

18 High School Registration Parent Approval/Request Form
Parents please sign and have your child return this form with his/her registration sheet. A conference with the counselor can be arranged at the time of the phone call if so desired.
