PHNID NIP NIP Purpose & Overview FL Statute (Safe Neighborhoods Act) mandates NIDs to create a neighborhood improvement plan FL Statute (3)(a) requires NIP to be consistent with local comprehensive planning & Land Development Regulation Act Orange County Ordinance # also requires the development of the NIP and the submission and approval of the Plan.

PHNID NIP NIP Purpose & Overview Continued NIPs must contain the following elements: –Demographics –Crime Data Analysis –Land use, zoning, housing & traffic analysis –Crime-to-Environment relationship problems –Districts goals & objectives –Identification of programs, policies recommendations, capital improvements and other investments –Cost estimates

PHNID NIP NIP Purpose & Overview Continued The District Assessment includes analysis of the following data & information: –General Demographics –Area Housing –Land use, zoning and development patterns –Transportation facilities & traffic patterns –Public safety data & crime-to-environment relationships It also identifies key issues & opportunities

It includes the following: –Vision, goals and objectives –Identification of needed policy changes –Identification techniques & strategies –Identification of capital improvements, programs & services

PHNID NIP PHNID Community Vision & Mission To bring businesses, citizens and government together to solve the challenges of our community and build a place where our citizens can once again live, work, play and learn in a safe, family-oriented, pro- business environment.

PHNID NIP PHNID Goals Goal #1: Effectively organize businesses and property owners to support the NID. Goal #2: Improve the public image and marketability of Pine Hills while enhancing economic development opportunities within the district. Goal #3: Improve public safety and security within the district. Goal #4: Develop attractive and functional community corridors. Goal #5: Establish effective multi-modal connections. Goal #6: Develop a vibrant mixed-use Town Center for Pine Hills.
