All About Mrs. James  I am married to a wonderful man named Tom  We have 2 Children  Ken is 13 years old and attends Thornburg Middle School  Noah is nearly 10 years old. He attends the 4 rd grade at Cedar Forest.  I am an animal LOVER  I have to fabulous Boxer’s  Gabby, a DIRTY white boxer  Maddy, a fancy and clean brindle boxer  I can not pick a favorite color, I love them all

More about me  I love cars!  I enjoy playing computer games and doing Sudoku  I love problem solving activities, Math is my FAVORITE subject.  I have lived in Florida, Hawaii, California, Indiana, Virginia, and North Carolina.  I graduated from UNCW

Even more about me  My mother is a teacher too!  I could eat hot wings for every meal  I love to travel and can not wait to see Europe someday  I LOVE THE TAMPA BAY BUCANNERS!! I am from Florida!!

The Agenda  Each of you will receive an Agenda  In that agenda you will keep track of all of your nightly assignments  The agenda is expected to be taken home each night and signed by your guardian  The agenda will be a way of communication between your guardians and teachers  You will also find all of the school rules that you are expected to follow in the beginning of the agenda  You must have your own agenda with you at all times while on school grounds  The agenda is the only way to move from place to place within the school

Hallway Movement  All students are to walk on the right side of the hallway  Students must be in straight line keeping hands, feet, books and other objects to themselves  There is to be NO talking in the hallway  Move quickly and quietly to designated location  If moving by oneself or in a small group students must have their agendas with them and singed by a teacher

Dismissal Policy  Students will be dismissed by the TEACHER at the end of each period.  A Bell is not a teacher, only leave a class when directed to do so.

Inclement Weather  In event of bad weather listen to the local radio and TV stations  If school is to dismiss early for any reason students will not be allowed to call home due to the large number of students Instructional Time No visitors will be allowed to classrooms during the school day unless they are part of a planned instructional activity

Textbooks  Take care of all textbooks  Students will be responsible for paying for damaged books  Please cover all textbooks  If lost students will be required to pay for the book  When not being used all textbooks should be put kept in student’s lockers

Cheating  Cheating is an academic infraction meaning it will have academic consequences  The consequences will rest at the discretion of the teacher  Parents will be contacted in the event of cheating
