Learning Disability qualifications Future of LDQ – no longer necessary: Contextualisation of Common Induction Standards Specialist LD pathway through HSC Diploma New leaflet produced as guidance to new Learning Disability qualifications **all LD qualifications now available**

Learning Disability qualifications Level 2 and 3 Awards in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities Structure: 1 Mandatory unit Understand the context of supporting individuals with learning disabilities ( 4 credits) Optional units to make up remaining 8 credits (minimum) 12 credits in total

Commissioning Procurement and Contracting in Care Services Aimed at people working in roles involved in commissioning, procurement and contracting for care services. Diplomas at Level 3, 5 and 7. Generic units available that cut across other sectors and different qualifications within HSC to aid transferability. **Now available**

Mental Health Development led by Skills for Health with partners (including Skills for Care) on the development of: L3 Diploma in Working in Mental Health (Competence) Launch date: spring / summer 2011 Qualifications already available: L2 and L3 Certificate in Community Mental Health –replaces old certificate in community mental health (knowledge only) L2 Award in Understanding Working with People with Mental Health Issues (knowledge only)

Food Safety and Nutrition L2 Award in Food Safety I unit, probably 1 credit L2 Award in Food Safety and Nutrition (To be confirmed) Expected launch date: April /May 2011
