Asset Manager Job summary: Essential functions of the job: Supports the efficient and effective delivery of the activities of the Offshore Assets Team, developing business interests and growing revenue and capital value and so contribute to nationally significant infrastructure assets that support achievement of the UK’s energy, climate change, and industrial strategy ambitions. Supports transactions including commercial negotiations for infrastructure projects and assist in lease management for offshore wind and OFTO assets. Additionally provides assistance on business development project work related to emerging technologies such as marine energy and CCUS. Manages internal team processes, such as risk registers, contract management etc., and builds strong relationships with customers and other stakeholders to add value to their operations and businesses, focused on long-term portfolio growth. Essential functions of the job: Develop and manage customer relationships ensuring service excellence identifying opportunities and facilitating activities to maximise added value. Support the timely and accurate execution of option agreements and leases, and amendments to these agreements, and ensure commercial and legal principles, and internal governance processes, are upheld. Responsibility for the procurement, management and timely execution, by external advisors or partner organisations to deliver in-house projects. Manage internal processes (risk register, knowledge and document management, budget management , business performance reporting working across OAT and their managing agents as required. Monitoring and reporting progress of customer and internal projects (i.e. forecasts including income, key project milestone dates and risks) and ensure accurate and timely invoicing. Maintain accurate and organised records of communications, document management and supplier budget and cost control and invoicing. Experience required: Proven capability in the following areas: Knowledge of major infrastructure projects, ideally in the energy and/or offshore marine sectors, or commercial property experience. Commercial contract management within a relevant sector. Working as part of a diverse and high-performing team, working across multiple disciplines. Ideally with some experience in the following areas: Effective procurement and management of contracts. Joint-venture organisations and/or project finance arrangements. An understanding of the energy/offshore wind industry and the issues facing the sector. Knowledge of land / property law. Skills required: Contract/project management skills including negotiation, management of scheduling and programmes, risk and opportunities, budgeting and forecasting. Personable, dynamic team player who works flexibly and collaboratively, with a positive attitude, able to foster effective partnerships both internally and externally, in order to achieve deadlines and ‘get the job done’.
