Job summary The job holder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation of all stages of stock processing to ensure stock replenishment is maintained to drive sales and deliver optimum product availability. Essential functions of the Job Set up of new products and suppliers on the retail system (Counterpoint) as directed by buyer (s); Order new stock and liaise with suppliers to ensure timely delivery; Monitor sales daily through data and stock review in situ; Place re-orders; Produce weekly trade report and action as required; Issue Purchase Orders and process GRNs using finance system (Agresso); Ensure returns and credit notes are processed; Ensure stock levels are maintained at agreed level; Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery and oversee stock receipt; Ensure opportunities for peak trading weeks and specific campaigns are maximised; Identify supply difficulties and offer solutions; Identify and recommend actions such as price reductions and promotions; Ensure front desk team are kept informed of promotions/new stock. Experience required Experience of managing stock within a retail environment is essential as is operating EPOS and finance systems; A proven track record of identifying stock trends and patterns based on analysing stock reports; Experience of coordinating stocktakes an advantage; Knowledge of gift market an advantage. Business Area - Windsor Department - SGVC Job level - Ops pay level 3 Responsible to - SGVC Manager Contract type - Permanent Budget Accountability - N/A People Responsibility - N/A Skills required Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build and maintain effective relationships internally and externally; Strong analytical and numerical skills to work out budgets and understand sales figures; Good organisational skills and ability to balance priorities; Strong commercial acumen and the ability to understand what will appeal to customers; High level of computer literacy including intermediate excel skills; A problem solver, with the ability to take own initiative and make decisions that will have a positive impact on the business; Attention to detail; Ability to work within timeframes and adhere to deadlines; Creative flair an advantage; An adaptable, collaborative style; This role involves manual handling so the ability to lift and move stock is essential.
