Be on Time. 2. Be Ready with Writer’s Toolbook/Spiral and a pen everyday. 3. Be seated before tardy bell rings. 4. Be respectful and celebrate peer differences. 5. Be successful and be a self-advocate 6. All personal electronic devices are to be put away and out of sight. 7. Trash goes in the trashcan—trashketball is not a sport in this classroom. 1. Put proper heading and title on all work.. 2. Use hall pass to leave the classroom. 3. Complete all work and turn it in on time. 4. Use blue and black ink only (any other color is used only for editing, revising, and grading). Pencils are tolerated. 5. Respect and return any borrowed supplies or books from teacher or peers. 6. Be a self advocate by asking for help and completing work on time. Expectations 40% 60% Assessments/Projects Daily Assignments Consequences *Parents and students are strongly encouraged to check Skyward for current grades. *Following directions is ALWAYS a part of a student’s grade. *Since writing is subjective, rubrics for grading major writing assignments will be used as much as possible. 1. Warning: Student will receive a warning for disruptive behavior. 2. A.M. Detention: If behavior continues, student will receive a 30 minute teacher detention before school 3. Lunch Detention: If behavior still continues, student will be assigned a lunch detention. 4. After School Detention: Student will receive a 1 or 2 hour detention after school on either Tuesday or Thursday for continued classroom disruption. 5. Office Referral: for persistent misbehavior Rules
