Skill Development Programs To provide self employment to rural youth in Micro Irrigation installations and fittings To improve services for maintenance of MI Systems APMIP in coordination with M/s Netafim & M/s Jain conducted (25) days (5days in house and 20 days in field) programme for rural youth . Out of 512 youth trained in Rayalaseema Districts 358 were employed by MI Companies as Micro Irrigation Technicians.

Enhancement Of Penetration Of MI In Less Penetrating States Additional incentive/top up subsidy to farmers for encouraging adoption of MI Capacity building and strengthening institutional mechanism. Successful approaches of good States may be replicated. Avail Micro Irrigation Fund for resource mobilization and innovative projects with PPP model. Awareness programmes on importance of efficient use of water and adoption of MI by farmers.
