3 Out of School Children scenario in India  The IMRB International conducted a survey in 2014 about out school children.  Survey focused on Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA); scheme of Government of India.  It was found that 6,064,230 children in the age group of 6 to 13 years are out of school in India. http://ssa.nic.in/pabminutes-documents/NS.pdf

7 Areas of Focus On that basis of numbers, interventions will be made to bring 100,000 out of school children back to school: - 10 states / areas will be selected for interventions to bring 9,000 out schools children back to schools of each areas I.e. total 90,000 children. 10 states / areas will be selected for interventions to bring 1,000 out schools children back to schools of each areas I.e. total 10,000 children.

8 Intermediary Center for Children A child sponsorship program is being launched allover India by RILM, where a person can donate Rs. 2,100/- to send an out of school child back to school. To fulfill this target of sending 100,000 out of school children back to schools will need a step in-between: intermediary center for children. A set / unit of 50 children in one place is minimum what’s needed to have the budget and the time span of maximum 12 months to admit them in Government Schools and monitor their progress in school after they are admitted. The collective amount for 12 months is Rs. 2,100/- x 50 = 105,000/-.

9 Implementation Strategies Local experienced NGOs will be given the responsibility of running these centers and the MoU for this short time project will be made between RILM and a NGO for minimum 10 centers with 50 children each, total 500 children for 12 months.
