Political Systems

Constitutional Monarchy A form of national government in which the power of the monarch (the king or queen) is restrained by a parliament, by law, or by custom. Several nations, especially in modern times, have passed from absolute monarchy to a constitutional monarchy, including Belgium, Britain, Denmark, The Netherlands, Norway, Spain, and Sweden.

Divine Right Monarchy a form of government in which supreme authority invested in a single  and usually hereditary figure, such as a king. Saudi Arabia

Republic a state in which the supreme power rests in the body of citizens entitled to vote and is exercised by representatives chosen directly or indirectly by them. Zimbabwe
