4. Dictatorship  a government in which a single person or group exercises supreme power by controlling the military and police  Example: Iraq under Saddam Hussein

5. Republic  A nation in which supreme power rests with the citizens and is exercised by their elected representatives  Examples: United Kingdom, India

6. Communism  Government in which a single political party controls both the government and economy; theories by Karl Marx to create classless society  Examples: Cuba, China

7. Theocracy  A government headed by religious leaders; country ruled through religious law  Examples: Vatican, Iran
