THE TARGET GROUPS Target groups ISCO Teachers/trainers in adult education: Chemistry Ecology Environmental engineering Civil engineering ISCO 2320: Vocational Education Teachers Vocational education teachers teach or instruct vocational or occupational subjects in adult and further education institutions and to senior students in secondary schools and colleges. They prepare students for employment in specific occupations or occupational areas for which university or higher education is not normally required. Education manager and other management staff in adult training institutions; non-teaching administrative staff: Management Economics ISCO 1345 Education Managers Education managers plan, direct, coordinate and evaluate the educational and administrative aspects of education services, primary and secondary schools, colleges and faculties and departments in universities and other educational institutions.  ISCO 2421: Management and Organization Analysts Management and organization analysts assist organizations to achieve greater efficiency and solve organizational problems. They study organizational structures, methods, systems and procedures. ISCO 2424: Training and Staff Development Professionals Training and staff development professionals plan, develop, implement and evaluate training and development programmes to ensure management and staff acquire the skills and develop the competencies required by organizations to meet organizational objectives.  ISCO 2351 Education Methods Specialists Education methods specialists conduct research and develop or advise on teaching methods, courses and aids. THE MODULAR TRAINING FRAMEWORK: BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT LOs’ KNOWLEDGE PART   Summary LO9:  Environmental awareness: recycling, reuse and waste management Waste minimization as one of the most important world problems of our age and its placement at the top of the waste management hierarchy of issues that have to be solved urgently; Basic information about recycling and reuse industry as a source of added economic value to the materials, its economic, environmental, social and ecological advantages, and its function as a mechanism for increase of the labour force; Waste recycling and the instruments for waste recycling promotion in the light of the PRO EUROPE wellness strategy; Special emphasis on the impact of recycling on waste prevention and contribution to environment protection and economy; The potential of recycling in energy and natural resources saving, and reduction of pollution risks; The business waste actions that involve reduce, reuse and recycling and stresses on the active position of the business about the waste production environment, and the recycling and reuse business risk assessment. THE MODULAR TRAINING FRAMEWORK: BRIEF INFORMATION ABOUT LOs’ KNOWLEDGE PART   Summary LO10: Environmental risk assessment in waste management Information about the main applications of environmental risk assessment approach to evaluate any source of a hazard to or from the environment; The approaches to build and implement of a complete community solid waste programme; The impact on businesses that discharge industrial waste in violation of the waste management law with emphasis on waste management/recycling as business management risk, the benefits of recycling (environmental, social, economic) and its contribution in transformation of waste into a resource; The basic steps in the development of an environmental training programme, the supportive policy environment for implementation of good solid waste management (SWM) practices at local level; Data on how to choose appropriate technologies for collection and disposal of solid waste’ Examles for activities performed by recycling businesse.
