1 BG01-KA Erasmus+ project “Strategic partnership for competence based training in Bio-fertilizers – Bio-FIT” National case studies “Promoting organic farming by training in bio-fertilizers” Synthesis report

2 current status of training available in all project partner countries;
BG01-KA Bio-FIT A survey - desk research in Bulgaria, Cyprus, Greece and Hungary to gather up-do-date information at national level and provide thorough analysis of the state of art on the following main topics: current status of training available in all project partner countries; main national structures/institutions involved in bio-fertilizers training; existing National/European legislative framework and policy; assessment of the educational needs / gaps in the project subject area; alignment with National/EU VET training priorities presentation of a common frame on the existing needs for development of Bio-FIT e-training programme.

3 2nd phase: Data analysis and conclusions provision
BG01-KA Bio-FIT The survey - a period of 7 months (1st – 7th month of project commencement) Two phases: 1st phase: Survey approach/tools development and information gathering. 2nd phase: Data analysis and conclusions provision

4 BG01-KA Bio-FIT Key points Conclusions National legislative framework and policy in bio-fertilizers production and eco-friendly technologies application 1.1 Basic data about current status in partner countries Organic agriculture with all its aspects (incl. bio-fertilizers production - a strategic economic sector that contributes to establishment of a balance between food production, employment rate and environment protection 1.2 National legislative framework and policies Established agricultural legislative frameworks and policies that among others outline the general frame for bio-fertilizers’ application 1.3 The obstacles and constraints in organic farming and bio-fertilizers application The questions The needs The advantages The main constraints

5 BG01-KA Bio-FIT Key points Conclusions 2. Target groups for realization of the training policy in bio-fertilizers’ application 2.1 The vision for the bio-fertilizers sector development through education Bio-FIT target groups need specific training within the frame of green biotechnology and especially in bio-fertilizers. The education can contribute to bridge building between technology and farming, and can introduce bio-innovations in sustainable agriculture development. 3. Current status of training available in all project partner countries 3.1 Brief historical overview of agricultural education Long-lasting traditions in all partner countries and currently is well developed 3.2 Formal/non-formal education in bio-fertilizers Fundamental educational principle VET – national priority Common political priorities in the field of VET

6 4. Alignment with National/EU VET training priorities
BG01-KA Bio-FIT Key points Conclusions 4. Alignment with National/EU VET training priorities 4.1 National qualifications frameworks for Lifelong Learning NQFs - officially launched during the last 5-7 years encompass all levels and types of qualifications from all subsystems of education and training 4.2 Development and introduction of NQFs NQF – classifies qualifications according to predefined levels of learning outcomes NQF - operates outside formal education and allows awarding of qualifications in accordance to common unified criteria 4.3 Prospects for implementation of NQFs design, broad public consultations and legal basis development preparatory steps – dissemination developing, implementing and reviewing NQFs procedures referencing to EQF

7 BG01-KA Bio-FIT Bulgaria Cyprus

8 BG01-KA Bio-FIT Greece Hungary

9 BG01-KA Bio-FIT Key points Conclusions 4.5 ECVET system Currently ECVET is implemented and is operating in all partners’ countries 5. Launching of common frame for development of Bio-FIT e-training programme 5.1 Prospects for implementation of NQFs defined education requirements per profession 5.2 Selection of key qualifications for VET in the field of bio-fertilizers 11 key qualifications selected main groups of required skills identified

10 BG01-KA Bio-FIT Conclusion remarks legal status of bio-fertilizers at EU level is not well defined needs of more profound information regarding benefits and restriction from bio-fertilizers application few specific offers for training in bio-fertilizers available and no offers for systematic learning for innovation in the area need for broad information about existing opportunities for training in bio-fertilizers need for development of innovative training programme designed for VET professionals and agricultural SME personnel Building of specialized e-platforms dedicated on bio-fertilizers formal / informal training Introduction of EQF/NQF descriptors in design of innovative training competencies of the target professionals Specification of target groups Bio-FIT Project will provide a real tool for improving market job chances
