Hand Me the Watchamacallit! Intro to Foods and Nutrition 7 Kitchen Equipment

Hand me the Whatchamacallit! On a piece of paper list as many different kitchen equipment you can think of!

Used for measuring dry ingredients like  Flour, Sugar, ETC.

Dry Measuring Cups

Made of Glass or Plastic, Has a Handle and A lip for easy pouring.  Always measure at eye Level.  Use for measuring milk, water and syrup.

Liquid Measuring cup

Used to Measure small ingredients.

Measuring Spoons

Pares the Peelings From Fruits or vegetables.

Peeler

Use to scrap the last bit of food from bowls and pans.

Rubber Scraper

Cutting skin from vegetables or fruits and cutting food.

Paring Knife

Use for stirring food on the stove; Does not conduct heat!

Wooden Spoon

This is made of wires and used to make sauces and stir food so they do not get lumpy.

Wire whisk

Used to cut a solid fat into flour when making pastries.

Pastry blender

Use to reduce food to varying degrees of fineness.
