AP VS DUAL CREDIT Dual Credit Advanced Placement (AP) College level course with credit awarded upon successful completion “C” or higher. Taught by master degree college faculty Taught on college campus, online, or at the high school campus Final grade based on variety of assignments/ instructor syllabus College credit awarded with a “C” or higher Accepted by public universities in Texas College level course with potential to earn college credit. Taught by AP certified HS faculty Taught on the high school campus Required score on AP exam at the completion of course Accepted throughout the US Credit is determined by individual universities

Reduced tuition rate Tuition Grants From NCTC Dual Credit Foundation Scholarships In district-Tax Paying (Cooke County): $25 per semester credit hour Most courses are 3 credit hour ($75) Out of District-Non-Taxed (Denton & Montague Counties): $100 per semester Credit Hour $300 per 3 hour course Branch Taxed District (Graham): $40 per semester credit hour $120 per 3 hour course Currently 6 hours, per semester waived for students eligible and participating in the high school Free/Reduced Federal Lunch program. Students must have a complete admission file before registering for courses: •Application from https://www.applytexas.org •TSI college ready scores •High school/college transcripts Students should check MY NCTC STUDENT SERVICE PORTAL to verify if admission file is complete. Student receive communications by email regarding their admission status. Check with your high school for specific information for registering . It may be different at each school.
