8 Federal Loans www.studentloans.gov 2 Requirements for Stafford Loans:
Master Promissory Note Entrance Counseling Sign using your FSA ID Parent PLUS Loan How it will appear on the Bill

9 Alternative Loans Select a loan provider of your choice. Adjustable or fixed interest rate. Student is the primary borrower with an eligible co-borrower. Credit-based approval. Deferred payments while in school. Can borrow up to the cost of attendance minus financial aid.

10 Work-Study Funds for students who work on campus and earn wages.
This money is not applied to your tuition bill. Applications for student employment occur during the first week of courses.

13 Student’s E-Bill The fall 2017 semester bill is available now on LConnect Due date is August 3rd, 2017 Wentworth does not mail paper bills, so please log onto LConnect with your student to view the bill: - Log into LConnect at - Click on “Leopardweb” - Click on the “Student” tab - Click on “E-Bill” - Select “Fall 2017” from the drop-down

15 Student’s E-Bill – Monthly Payment Plan
One option for covering the remaining balance is with a monthly payment plan through Tuition Management Systems (TMS) Enroll now for a 10 month plan starting in June or a 9 month plan starting in July: More information about the payment plan and all payment options can be found on our website:

16 Health Insurance If your student is covered under your insurance plan, you can waive the Wentworth health insurance Before you waive, please check that your plan give the student access to providers in the Boston area Click on the “Enroll in or waive health insurance” button

17 Health Insurance When you get to the United site, select the waive OR enroll link

Enter the student’s DOB MM/DD/YYYY

19 Health Insurance To waive the insurance, enter all of the details from the student’s health insurance card Allow at least 24 hours for the waiver to be applied to your student’s bill Waiver Denied? Don’t panic! We review all denied waivers. We will contact the student by if we are able to approve the waiver

20 FERPA FERPA stands for “Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act”
All schools that receive funds from the federal government must comply with FERPA If a parent, family member or any other person wants to discuss the student’s bill, financial aid or any part of the student record… The Student Service Center requires the student to complete a FERPA release form telling us what we can discuss and with whom we can discuss the information The student can complete an online FERPA release by logging onto LConnect

21 FERPA Release Select the “FERPA Authorization” link from the student menu

22 FERPA Release Student then enters all the information into the FERPA release, and clicks “Save and Update”

23 FERPA Release After the FERPA release has been completed, the student can set up view-only access to LConnect (Proxy access) Complete step by step instructions are in your handout and also on our website:

Class schedule changes occur throughout the summer Transfer of courses – transcripts AP/IB Credit and Writing Placement Always print/verify your class schedule just prior to the start of the semester – room assignments.

31 Writing Placement Schedule Changes
SAT/ACT received prior to start of class. AP/IB Credit from the College Board – after July 1. Transfer Credit – Official College Transcript. Final Writing Assessment 1st day of class.

Prior to the start of every semester students must complete the steps in the I AM ENROLLED LeopardWeb access platform Determine if the student is present in the current term Confirm and collect student living arrangements Confirm and collect student Emergency Contact information Available approximately 3-5 days prior to the 1st day of class

By the 1st of each month during the Academic Year students receive an from the Registrar’s Office Important Dates in September This will have a list of dates students will either have to take action or be aware of a deadline.
