Welcome to 2nd Grade Curriculum Night Your 2nd Grade Team Mrs. Andrade, Mrs. Baugh, & Ms. Hurtado

Tonight’s Goals Provide information about our curriculum, daily procedures, and what your child will be doing this year. Last week, we have been busy assessing students and helping them learn procedures in order to transition them into 2nd grade. Since we are only in the 2nd week of school, it is difficult to discuss your child’s progress with you tonight. If we have concerns, we will be sure to contact you.

Parking & Campus Access Limited parking Parent pick up for 2nd Graders is at basketball court area unless picking up a Kindergarten sibling. Parents are not allowed on campus unless you sign in at front office. After visiting, you must sign out and exit through the office. For your child’s safety, all students will enter the campus and proceed directly to the playground or to cafeteria for breakfast. When the morning bell rings, gates are locked, students are picked up from playground, then proceed to their classrooms. (There is no supervision in front of or in classrooms.) School starts at 8:45 and ends at 3:30. Please make sure your child is here on time and picked up on time.

This Year’s Goals Give your child the academic tools they need to progress to 3rd grade. Provide a supportive learning environment. Learn how to work cooperatively. Make new friends and discover new interests.
