1. Please sign in along the back counter under your child’s homeroom teacher. Sign up for a conference time under your child’s teachers’ names for Monday, October 12 th. (You will meet with both teachers together.) Make sure to take a copy of your child’s homeroom teacher’s schedule before you leave. Welcome to 3 rd Grade!

3. Haude Grading Guidelines Major grades equal 50% of your child’s average and minor grades are the other 50%. Please note, not all grades will come home in the Tuesday Folder via a paper copy. Please refer to Parent Connect for up to date grades and averages. Retesting (for MAJOR grades only) If your child fails a MAJOR grade, they will have an opportunity to redo the assignment after working with us. Their new score will replace the original score. Retests may require being done before school or after school.

6. P - 30 Students will rotate twice through all five stations within the week working on curriculum based activities. During this time, teachers will be seeing students in small group settings. Monday-Thursday 8:30-9:00 & 2:30-3:00 Friday 8:30-9:30

11. How you can help at home Please check your child’s homework! Encourage your student to complete their reading each week. Homework is due the next day unless otherwise noted. Homework is given often. Homework is a review of what we have learned that day and should not take more than 20 minutes. (If homework is taking more than 20 minutes please let their teacher know.) Sign the planner daily and help your student to be organized! Signing the planner lets us know that you have reviewed the homework and upcoming assessments with your child.

12. Class Dojo is an online behavioral management system that we are using in our classroom. Be sure to connect with your child’s homeroom teacher’s account so you may view your child’s daily behavior. Dojo shows positives as well as things your child needs to work on throughout the day. Rewards are given Monday morning for the previous week.

13. School email is the best way to reach your child’s teacher! Class Dojo is for behavioral concerns only. Transportation changes should be sent via a note or contacting the front office.
