Algebra 2 Mrs. Brett George 2018-2019 Quizzes Rule 1 Tests Rule 2 bngeorge@dpisd.org 832-668-7200 ext 72313 In Algebra 2, the study of functions that was started in Algebra 1 is reinforced and expanded. Connections are made between algebra and other branches of mathematics as well as to other subjects. Each topic covered will be related to the real world events and applications. Notebook Pencil Folder Paper Tape 60% Quizzes Class work & Homework 20% 20% Rule 1 Be on time. Go to a tardy station if you are late. Tests Rule 2 Be respectful to all who enter the room whether a classmate, another teacher, or a substitute. Class work & homework grade based on completion or based on accuracy. Retests on tests below 70 only with a completed remediation assignment. Maximum retest grade is 70. Cheating = zero and no retest Grades can be tracked on Skyward Showing work is required. See full retest and grading policy on my webpage. Rule 3 Be encouraging. We all need help at one time or another. Rule 4 Try your best. Tutorials are available Mon.-Thurs. from 8-8:45 am in my room or after school in room 2473. Rule 5 Mistakes are allowed. Learn from them.

On the way to your seat, pick up supplies, handouts, calculators and sharpen your pencils. Have your completed homework on your desk and start on the daily warm up. It is your responsibility to keep up with warm ups and notes in your notebook. Notebook quizzes will be given. Cell phones and other electronic devices are prohibited unless otherwise stated by the teacher. If you are finished with the assignment for the day, you still do not have permission to be on your electronic device. Listening to music may be granted as a privilege, but it is not a right. Students may drink bottled water in class. Food and other drinks are not allowed during any part of class. Policies outlined in the Student Handbook will be followed. Electronics Bonus Points Homework Pass Pick up make up work in folder at front of room. Update your notebook with missing notes and warm ups. Late work will not be accepted. Please communicate any homework emergencies.
