Nouns Nouns are words that name people, places, things, or ideas. There are six different types of nouns. The first type are abstract nouns, which are nouns that name ideas or thoughts what cannot touch. For example: love is a feeling Another type of nouns are concrete nouns, which are nouns that name things that you can touch. For example: I like cars

Nouns Another type of nouns are proper nouns, which are nouns that name a specific person place things or ideas. For example: President McDonald Trump Another type of nouns are common nouns, which are nouns that name things that are general. For example: I am in a school

Nouns Another type of nouns are collective nouns, which are nouns that name a group of people, animals, or things. For example: this is the best team Another type of nouns are compound nouns, which are nouns that consist of 2 or more words. For example: firefighters, mother-in-law

Pronouns Pronouns are words that take place of a noun or another pronoun. And these nouns or other pronouns are called Antecedents. For example: Anas plays videogames since He was six years old, although he still sucks at it. :P These pronouns in the last sentence are called personal pronouns which refer to specific people or animals. Some of these pronouns are shown in their possessive forms ( his, her, their) There are a lot of pronoun types and I’m forced to tell you every single one of them. (in the next slide)

Pronouns Indefinite pronouns refer to an unspecified thing or person. For example: Someone took my pencil Demonstrative pronouns refer to specific people or things. For example: these are my soccer balls/this is me Interrogative pronouns start a question. For example: what the #$% is that thing? Reflexive pronouns end in self-selves, which refers to an earlier pronoun or noun in that sentence. For example: I peed my pants when I saw myself in the mirror.

Verbs Verbs are words that express an action or state of being. Every sentence has at least one action verb or linking verb Action verbs express an action. For example: I am studying at the moment Linking verbs link the subject with a word or words that describe it am in the last sentence is a linking verb. Verb phrase contains a main verb with a helping verb. For example: Did anyone see Mohammad today?

Adjectives Adjectives are words that give information about the nouns and pronouns they modify. A, an, and the make up a subcategory of adjectives called articles. the is a definite article is an adjective that points out a specific, or definite noun. A, and an indefinite articles which point to anyone or anything rather than a specific thing.

Adjectives Proper adjectives are proper nouns that modify other nouns. For example: Jordanian kid Most of the adjectives come before the nouns they modify but predicate adjectives follow a linking verb to modify the subject. For example: Mahmoud looks sick today Sometimes nouns modify other nouns like Faisal’s pen. Sometimes adjectives are parts of compound nouns like Native Americans.

Conjunctions Conjunctions are words that join other words or groups of words. For example: and, but, or Correlative conjunctions are paired conjunctions. For example: either or, neither nor, not only but also Subordinating conjunctions connects adverb clauses to main clauses. For example: I died because of smoking

Interjections Interjections are words that express mild or strong emotion For example: holy $#it ! I won the election.
