Technology To be or not to be? Secondary school with the study of European languages “St. Constantine-Cyril the Philosopher”, Bulgaria

OUR DEBATES OVER TECHNOLOGY FOR IMPROVES THE WAY WE TEACH STUDENTS BECOME AUTONOMOUS AND LEARN AT THEIR OWN PACE QUICK FEEDBACK ENGAGING DEVELOPS STUDENTS’ CREATIVITY ALLOWS STUDENTS TO TRY AND FAIL AND TRY AGAIN STUDENTS BECOME 21ST CENTURY LEARNERS AGAINST ADDICTIVE IT’S DIFFICULT FOR THE PARENTS TO HELP SOME STUDENTS MAY TAKE CLASSES LESS SERIOUSLY SOME PEOPLE THINK THAT USING TECHNOLOGY STUDENTS DON’T LEARN HOW TO SOCIALISE HEALTH PROBLEMS – BACKACHE, POOR EYESIGHT MANY TEACHERS DON’T HAVE THE NECESSARY DIGITAL SKILLS

Our students like technology and we shouldn’t forget it

Interactive pedagogy Interactive pedagogy is not about ICT only and about the interaction between computers and people. Interactive pedagogy is about sharing information, role play, drama, music – the students may not remember the lesson plan but they will remember the experience. Interactive pedagogy allows the teacher to be a facilitator while the students explore various information sources and try to analyze the information. The virtual world and games have their important role in the teaching/learning process. The students do not watch videos passively but they think and play, try and fail and try again.

Games, games…

The use of educational aimed tools Many online tools and platforms are designed especially for educational purposes.
