Tests and Quizzes Components of the Quarter Grade: Assessments comprise 90% of each quarter’s grade. Other assignments comprise the remaining 10% of each quarter’s grade. Grades are based on percentages using the scale of: 90%-100% = A, 80% - 89% = B, 70% - 79% = C, 60% - 69% = D, 50% - 59% = F Components of Semester Grades: 45% quarter 1 and 3; 45% Quarter 2 and 4; 10% Semester Exam. Note: All tests and quizzes will be paper/pencil in class and pop-quizzes may be given any time during the class time. More detail information is available under course expectations.

Cell Phone Use Policy - Cell Phones/Electronic Device: Improper use of cell phones/electronic device during class will not be tolerated and parents may be required to pick up their child’s device during business hours as shown below: 1st Offense: Verbal warning, student immediately turns off their electronic device. 2nd Offense: Teacher takes the electronic device and it is the student’s responsibility to pick it up at the end of the school day with in business hours. 3 rd Offense or more: Teacher takes the electronic device and the parent must pick up the device at school during business hours. Student is responsible for communicating this with the parent. Dean’s referral may be given for insubordination.
