Showtimes Matinee (students): 7:30-2:30 Extended Feature (teachers): 7:00-3:20 The Library is open for both teachers and students. Students may visit the library from 7:30 until 2:30, while teachers can come in a little earlier at 7:00 and stay a little longer until 3:20.

Admission In order to be admitted you must have: Pass from your teacher Your Library Card When you come to the library make sure you have a pass from your teacher as well as your library card. You won’t be able to check out a book without it.

A Couple of Reminders No Food/Drinks Please walk while in library & use whisper voices Help us keep our shelves clean  Before we continue, here are just a few reminders. Remember for the safety of our books and other materials, no food or drinks are allowed in the library. While in the library make sure to walk through shelves and use your whisper voices, some people may be trying to read. One last thing to keep it easy to look for a book, please help us keep the shelves clean by neatly replacing books you take out.

So..What do you do when you visit? Make sure to return old books in drop box. Grab a shelf marker and head to a computer! When you arrive at the library, go ahead and return your library books to the drop box so Mrs. Baker can check them in. Then grab a shelf marker and set out to find your next book.

Remember you can check out 2 books and Book Boosters can take home 3! On our computers, you can use the Destiny Online Catalog to search for books. Remember you can check out 2 books and Book Boosters can take home 3! Use our computer catalog system Destiny to search for books we have here in the library. Destiny will even tell you the Top Checkout items, to give you an idea of some great reads. Students can check out 2 books, our Book Booster club members are allowed to check out one extra book for a total of 3.

Find your seat…. Where will you find your book? All Easy books are located on the shelves along the outside of the library, they will have an E on the book spine. Fiction books begin in the center shelves and are arranged alphabetically. Nonfiction books start in the middle shelves right after our fiction and are arranged using the Dewey Decimal system. We also have some featured books and easy Nonfiction along the shelves near circulation.

When you find your book, make sure to take it to Mrs. Baker! Once you have chosen your book, take it over to Mrs. Baker. She will ask to see your library card and go ahead and check your new books out for you.

Not just for check-out ! Story time Class Lesson The Library is not just for check-out. Each week your class will visit the library during your specials time. Library visits will alternate between story time and class lessons. Weeks when we have a lesson, you won’t be able to check-out books during this time, because we have so much to cover during our lesson. Don’t worry you can always come back later.

Teachers can find what they need here too! For our VIP’s Teachers can find what they need here too! We also have resources for our VIPs, teachers, as well. Here in our library, teachers have access to many professional development books and planning resources.
