2 Media Center General Info
The Kell HS Media Center is open from 7:15am – 4:00pm During school hours, you must have a pass from your teacher to visit the media center and sign in at the circulation desk. Please don’t eat or drink in the media center. Soft conversation is ok. Don’t forget to bring your student ID card. It allows you to check out books and print.

9 Computers The media center computers are to be used for school work and searching for media center materials. Please do not use the computers for checking s or playing games Don’t forget. Cheating and plagiarism are unethical and wrong. You are welcome to use the media center printer. The cost is $.10 per page printed. Your student ID card is required for printing.

13 Non-Fiction Nonfiction books are organized by their subject via Dewey Decimal System. The numbers on the top row of the label indicate subject. The numbers on the bottom row of the label indicates the author’s last name. Ecology is the topic for these books.

22 Checking Out Books Students may check out as many books as they need.
Books may be kept for 4 weeks. You may renew a book one time, either through the media specialist or on your own via Destiny. Magazines and references can be checked out overnight. If you have any overdue books, you cannot check out another one until payment is made. Books – Fine is $.10/day ($10 maximum) Magazines – Fine is $.50/day References – Fine is $.25/hour or $2/day
