November 2017 Mrs. Barcacel and Ms. Jones’ Pre-k 7 Welcome to Pre-K 7’s Class Dear Parents/Guardians, Thank you for your continued involvement, interest, and enthusiasm. Just a few reminders, a classroom wish list will be sent home monthly, as we have been running out of supplies that keep our little hands and classroom clean. Anything you’re able to bring in is greatly appreciated. Please continue to check your child’s folder for family practice activities, as those will be sent home frequently. Please be sure to empty your child’s folder daily, The skills we practice daily in Pre-K are the building blocks for your child’s future success in school and in life! Daily Schedule 7:30 – 7:45 - Arrival Time 7:45– 8:30 – Breakfast/Morning Meeting/ Table Top Toys 8:30– 10:30 – Center Time 10:30– 11 – Handwashing/ Lunch 11-12 – Gross Motor 12-1 – Hand washing/ Getting Ready for Rest/ Rest 1-1:15 - Snack 1:15-1:45 – Center Time 1:45-2:05 – Afternoon Meeting/ Music and Movement/ Story Time 2:05 - Dismissal Thematic Unit We are continuing to work on our BALL unit. We have been learning about different kinds of balls, the shape of a ball, color, what materials balls are made with, what balls have inside (hollow or solid), and how balls are used. We will be having “ball experiments” to test which balls bounce, roll, sink or float. Your children will also be making their own balls with different art materials. ©Thrifty in Third Grade 2016 Information ~Class starts at 7:45am and will be dismissed at 2:05m ~Parents, please don’t forget to sign your children out ~Please be sure to label all your child’s belongings with their name and Pre-K 7 ~Please remember every Friday blankets and sheets will be returned home to be washed for Monday ~Please check and empty your child’s folder daily ~Keep in mind, we have outdoor gross motor every other day.
