5. Morning Routine
All students will go directly to the gym or cafeteria in the morning for breakfast. Each class will be dismissed from there to our classrooms. We begin our day with unpacking and morning writing.

6. Dismissal
We begin our dismissal process around 3:05 to ensure our littlest scholars get to their destinations first.
If you have a change in transportation, you MUST call the front office. They will write me a note to let me know.
If you send me an or try to call during the day, I may not get to it in time.

7. Grading Policy
Students will receive grades based on units as a whole. The most important thing for me is that your student understands the concept, not the grade. We will be working in small groups a lot to ensure your scholar is successful.

8. Attendance Policy
Attendance is taken every day at 10 am. We learn a lot every single day so attendance is very important! However, I understand that things happen and we all get sick. Please use your better judgment before sending your child to school.

9. If we do move our card, we can always move it back to green.
Social Contract
Our class has made and signed a social contract together. This is an agreement we made to help our class run smoothly and to keep everyone safe and happy.
When we break things on our social contract, we are expected to move our color card.
If we do move our card, we can always move it back to green.

10. Color Chart Purple- Outstanding example! Green- Good to go
Yellow- I need to stop and think about my actions
Orange- Make better choices
Red- Parent conference
Every day your child starts on GREEN.

11. I LOVE rewarding positive behaviors in my class.
Students who earn purple cards and keep them until Friday get to go to treasure box.
Pickett Tickets are given to students from any teacher. If their name is called during announcements, they get to sit on stage with a friend during lunch.
Our Marble Jar is something our whole class works towards. If they earn enough marbles our class will have a (small) party to celebrate good behavior.

12. Policies for Breakfast/Lunch
Before school students can eat breakfast in the cafeteria. If they bring their own breakfast, they should also eat that in the cafeteria before school starts.
Lunch:
Lunch starts at 11:00 and ends at 11:20 and is in the cafeteria. If you child buys lunch, their order is taken 1st thing in the morning and is ready when they arrive to give them more time to eat their lunch. Recess follows until 11:45.
Lunch money:
Parents can make meal payments online through the Skyward Family Access parent portal.

13. Snack Snack is everyday right after P.E..
We are doing a community snack, so please check the snack calendar found in your child’s B.E.E folder for your day.
Children who don’t finish their lunch at lunch time may finish it during snack, but we do only have 15 minutes.
I store extra snacks just in case we forget.
Snack donations are always welcome. 
Please pack HEALTHY snacks! 

14. Parent Volunteers Parent volunteers are ALWAYS welcomed!
Volunteers must complete a background check.
We also need a room parent for our classroom. If you are interested, let me know!
