Kindergarten Monthly Classroom Newsletter Fall is officially here!! Things we will learn this Month: Alphabet Knowledge: Oo, Cc, Hh, Bb (letters and letter sounds) Comprehension: Make predictions, Retell story, Identifying characters, Identifying the setting, Story sequence Writing: Name writing, Journal writing (drawing a picture and writing complete sentences.) Math: Numbers; 8-15 Colors: pink & gray Parents, review the following with your child daily: Child’s name, address, phone number and birthday. Count to 100 daily by ones and by tens. Practice writing name. Sight Words: * I, am, go, to, it, the, is, my, in, for, so, jump, find, she, run, play, me, look, make, but, man, he, soon October Birthdays: Hope Oct.4th, Jeudiel Oct.5th, Silas 21st WISH LIST: *Paper Towels * Hand Soap *Juice *Chips * Snacks (cereal, Rice Krispies , muffins, etc) Reminder: No school!!!! (Friday, 10/6/17 & Monday, 10/9/17 Field Trip: Story Land 10/24/17 Don’t forget to check and sign your child’s binder daily. This is our line of communication. (Keep in mind we do not check your child’s backpack, so any notes to teacher or important information should be placed in your child’s binder) Due to the change of weather remember to send your child to school with a light jacket for outside play. Make sure you provide your child with a snack everyday to eat during snack time. Parents when we send blankets home on Friday please wash it and send it back on Monday. Fall Celebration October 31th - Students will be able to dress in their favorite costume. (Please, No scary costumes) I will provide pumpkin buckets for all my students. Parents , if you will like to donate items to fill their buckets, please feel free. (individual wrapped candy, treats, party favors, etc.) We would greatly appreciate it! *If you would like to donate any items for the buckets, please do so no later than Thursday or Friday, October 26th-27th. Special thanks!! (: Special thanks to all the parents that assisted on the field trip to Steed’s Dairy Farm! You all are AWESOME!
