2 ABC’s of Pre-K Attendance: It is very important that your child attends school every day. The Georgia Pre-K Program has very stringent rules regarding excess absences and tardiness. Please read and sign the attendance agreement that we are sending home today. Be on time every day! It is important for your child to be at school and on time every day. School begins at 7:40 a.m. and your child needs to be in the room before this time. Please make sure that you send in a written note if your child is absent.

4 ABC’s of Pre-K Dismissal. Please discuss with your student when there is a change. Also, please remember to send a note to us! Everyone. We believe that everyone can learn and we will be doing a LOT of learning this year. Remember to include everyone in your family when you are working with your student. They can learn a lot from everyone.

5 ABC’s of Pre-K Fun. Pre-K is all about having fun. Don’t forget to ask your student about how much fun they are having! Grades. We do not have grades in Pre-K. We will be observing everyone and recording progress, but we are all learning at this stage. Hands to yourself. Please remember to reinforce this concept at home! Four year olds always need a little extra reminding.

6 ABC’s of Pre-K “Icky.” We will send home any “icky” clothes in a plastic bag. Please make sure to label and send in an extra set of clothes in a Ziploc bag. Jumping, running, playing. We do a lot of jumping, running, and playing here. Please remember to send your child in shoes they can play in! Keep in touch. Please contact us with any questions, concerns, or celebrations you may have!

7 ABC’s of Pre-K Lunch. We eat lunch from 10:53-11:23 in the cafeteria.
Breakfast can be purchased in the cafeteria for $1.05 and lunch for $2.35. Mine. This is one of the most frequent words used by Pre-K students! We will be working on sharing concepts throughout the year. Please remind your student how important it is to share.

8 ABC’s of Pre-K Nap time. We will be taking a one hour nap each day. Please send your child with a sheet and blanket for nap time. We will send these home on Fridays to be washed and returned the next school day. Other students and parents. Get to know the other wonderful students and parents in our class! We will send home a class contact list as soon as possible. Parent Volunteers. We welcome any parent that would like to come in and participate in our classroom!

9 ABC’s of Pre-K Questions. Please do not hesitate to contact us with any questions. An or letter in the VIP folder is the best way. Our address is: We will be sending home a monthly newsletter with class happenings and check our website for photos. Room Mom: Sara Kodakaram Snack. We will have snack everyday at 9:20. Please send your child with a healthy snack. Please label the snack and separate it from your child’s lunch.

10 ABC’s of Pre-K Treasure Box. We will be starting treasure box for good behavior! If you have any small toys, stickers, or similar please send them in! Unpack. Remember to unpack your student’s backpack and VIP folder every night. Please return the VIP folder every day. Visitors. Lunch visitors are always welcome! Website:

11 ABC’s of Pre-K You. We need help from you! If there is anything that you would like to donate, please feel free to send it to school with your student. Zoo. Sometimes it can feel like a zoo in here! If your student feels frustrated or overwhelmed, please let us know. We will do all we can to make sure they are ok.

12 Your Child’s School Record
Please make sure you have provided the school with all the required documents for your child to attend Pre-K. The immunization certificate 3231 must be on file and up to date. The Hearing, Vision and Dental certificate must be on file and up to date.

13 Supply List A large size book bag to carry school materials.
A full change of clothing including socks and underwear. Please label all clothing and pack in a large Ziploc bag. A sheet and blanket or towel for nap time.

14 Thank you for all the support and class donations!
Wish List Ziploc Bags, Paper towels, Baby wipes, Clorox wipes, Treasure box items, Small drinking cups, Plastic silverware, Napkins and Snack items. Thank you for all the support and class donations! We will keep you updated on our needs as they arise!
