Mixed test delivery mode available Online testing proctor caching Off-site testing Initial test materials shipment quantity Tracking test materials information Practice test What’s New in 2016-2017? For the 2016-17 test administration, ACT is allowing schools to utilize both online and paper testing, or a mixed mode of both, within the schools. Schools will select the appropriate mode for individual students within PearsonAccessnextTM. To test online, your school must: * Appoint a technical coordinator. * Meet hardware, software, and other technical requirements defined by ACT, and performed during site readiness. There will not be any checkpoints or surveys as part of site readiness. * Install and use ProctorCache software as defined by ACT in the Technical Guide for Online Testing. * Use the installable TestNavTM app (instead of browser-based) for the optimal testing experience. If your school does not meet the requirements during site readiness or install ProctorCache software by the deadline provided, ACT will switch your administration from online to paper testing mode. If your school is unable to meet ACT facility requirements (as outlined in the ACT Test Administration Manuals), select an off-site testing location that does meet the requirements. Your school no longer needs to complete a request form and wait for ACT approval to test off-site. However, you are required to identify the off-site location and address on the Test Room Report found on the front of the consolidated test administration forms. Schools will not be confirming or entering an initial enrollment count in PearsonAccessnext. Instead, your initial enrollment counts will automatically populate the enrollment screen based on the number of examinees loaded into the system with the Student Date Upload (SDU) file. Materials will be shipped for your initial test date based on the information on the enrollment data count screen. Tracking numbers for school and district inbound packages of test materials will be available to access in PearsonAccessnext. All schools will have the ability to provide their students with access to an online ACT practice test. Upon completion of this, students will receive a score report with raw scores.

PearsonAccessnextTM TestNav™ The ACT taken online PearsonAccessnextTM TestNav™ http://www.act.org/content/act/en/products-and-services/state-and-district-solutions/act-online-testing.html Many of you may be aware that ACT has contracted with the vendor, Pearson, to utilize the PearsonAccessnext platform for managing participation, materials ordering, management of examinee records, and online testing. TestNavTM is the system, which is used by examinees to participate in the ACT taken online. The link provided contains the minimum system requirements for proctor caching and examinee testing devices.

Submit requests for ACT-approved accommodations Test Accessibility and Accommodations System (TAA) Submit requests for ACT-approved accommodations Review Decision Notifications from ACT Access TAA PIN Report (which replaces preliminary & final rosters) Roles access to TAA Test Accessibility and Accommodations System (TAA) is the system utilized by all schools to submit requests for ACT-approved accommodations for their eligible students. It is also used for:  checking the status of requests being approved or not  reviewing decision notifications from ACT  requesting reconsideration of requests that were not approved initially, if applicable  viewing examinee information for planning purposes, as needed  accessing TAA PIN Report, which replaces preliminary and final rosters The STC, and only the STC, has test coordinator access to the TAA system. The STC may grant access for other school staff members to assist in submitting applications. They are called Test Accommodation Coordinators (TACs).
