Find more testing milestones on your Schedule of Events: Now I am going to review testing milestones that are currently in progress and those that are coming up for both paper and online testing. The deadline to submit reconsideration requests for ACT-approved accommodations has passed and Late Consideration forms will be accepted until February 10. Late considerations for ACT-approved accommodations are only applicable for specific circumstances. These requests should be submitted using the Late consideration paper form posted on the Nevada ACT state testing website. You will receive a preliminary accommodations roster in your nonsecure shipment and a final roster in your secure shipment that summarizes the accommodations each student is approved to test with. Your school should have received their nonsecure shipment by now, which means you may begin conducting sessions for students to complete the non-test portions on the ACT. The window to order non-college reportable accommodations materials for the ACT test has opened, and will close on February 11. Instructions for how to order these materials were sent via on February 1 to all test coordinators and district assessment coordinators. If a test coordinator contact changes at any point throughout the year, the test coordinator information can be edited in PearsonAccessnext under “Manage Contacts”. The staff agreement must also be signed, if a new contact assumes the school test coordinator role. All of these testing milestones and more are outlined on your Schedule of Events, posted on the Nevada ACT state testing website.

5 ACT Prep Courses for Educators
Test Preparation Audio Connection: (800) Access Code: ACT Prep Courses for Educators Available on ACT Nevada state testing website ACT Practice Test Form Posted in Bighorn portal Nevada educators have two different types of test preparation resources available to them. Prep Courses for Educators are available on the ACT Nevada state testing website – a summary of what is included in the videos and how to access them is located at the link shown here. These prep courses are designed to help educators strengthen their knowledge of the ACT test and what it measures, and integrate that knowledge in the classroom to help students become college and career ready. There is also a practice ACT test form available and posted in the Bighorn portal for all districts and schools to access and use for test preparation purposes.

6 Complete non-test information before test day
Completing the Non-Test Portions (Paper Testing) Audio Connection: (800) Access Code: Complete non-test information before test day Answer Document Supplement State Use Questions – Question #2 Reporting High School Code The high school code determines which school will receive reports. Completing this information is the responsibility of staff at the testing school. Block K: Paper Testing 2.  Leave question 2 blank if you are currently enrolled in grade 11. If you are currently enrolled in grade 12, grid or select response A for question 2. A I am enrolled in Grade 12 Students must complete the non-test portions on the answer document before test day. The non-test portions include basic identify information, high school course & grade information, ACT interest inventory, and state use questions. Instructions are included in the test administration manual for completing this information. If an examinee chooses not to complete any of the non-test sections, remind them that the score report that ACT sends to colleges will be partially blank. State use questions and answer options are printed on the Answer Document Supplement sent in the non-secure shipment, and need to be read aloud to students. ACT defaults the grade level of students to grade 11 unless answer A of Question #2 of the state use questions is gridded. It is important Question #2 is completed for 12th graders, as this ensures that the grade level is reported accurately for schools, districts, and the state. In some cases, examinees may test at a school that is not the school they are officially enrolled in. In this case, the high school code must be indicated either on the answer document for paper testing or in PearsonAccessnext for online testing so that reporting is sent to the correct school. It is the responsibility of testing staff to ensure this information is completed, if necessary.

7 Answer Document Supplement
Completing the Non-Test Portions (Online Testing) Audio Connection: (800) Access Code: Complete non-test information online before or up to 4 days after test day. Answer Document Supplement State Use Questions – Completed in online testing platform on test day Reporting High School Code The high school code determines which school will receive reports. Completing this information is the responsibility of staff at the testing school. Student Details Page: Online Testing For online testing, the non-test portions are completed by students online and can be done in an in-school session or on the students’ own time. Like paper, the non-test information should not be completed on test day, but it can be completed up to 4 days after test day. State use questions are completed on test day for online assessments. Before students begin the first test in the online system, they are prompted to complete state use questions. The room supervisor must read the questions from the answer document supplement aloud and students select the appropriate answers on their screen. Question #2 which asks whether a student is in 12th grade will not be available for students to select an answer option in the online system. Instead the test coordinator will need to complete question #2 in the online portal, either before or after testing, for 12th grade students only. If reports need to be sent to a school, other than the school a student tested at, this must be indicated in the online testing platform on the student details page. Instructions for doing this are included in the online testing manual and on your answer document supplement.

8 Use multiple timepieces
Timing the Test Audio Connection: (800) Access Code: Use multiple timepieces Record start and stop times on Time Verification Form during testing Accommodations Mixed timing codes cannot test in the same room Accurate timing of the test is very important to ensure that students scores are not canceled. ACT asks that multiple timepieces be used to ensure accurate timing of the test, and that start and stop times for each test are recorded on the Time Verification and Administration Report Forms and sent back to ACT. For students with accommodations, a specific timing code may be assigned for testing. Accommodations examinees should not test with standard time examinees. Only students with identical timing codes may test in a room together. If students with different timing codes are tested in the same room, scores will be voided. In addition some types of accommodations require an individual test administration. Please read the Accommodations testing manual carefully for how to test students with various accommodations and timing codes.

9 Returning Testing Materials
Audio Connection: (800) Access Code: It is important to follow the instructions provided in the administration manual to return testing materials. Keep the original boxes that the materials arrived in for returning them. Make sure to mail the polymailer containing answer documents and test administration forms separately from the box. If the polymailer is placed inside the box, scoring may be delayed. Also, make sure to return all necessary test administration forms, found in the back of the administration manual. Neglecting to return these forms or returning them incompleted may delay the scoring of answer documents.

10 Resources Audio Connection: (800) Access Code: ACT Nevada state testing webpage ACT assessment related updates and s are sent from Testing manuals, training videos, and supplemental documents are available on the Nevada ACT state testing website at the link provided here. ACT sends all communications regarding testing updates and activities via our address. ACT customer service information is included in all test administration manuals and communications from ACT.
