Summative Participants Considerations There will be online tools available for all students (ex. line reader and highlighter). The Summative assessment is not a timed test. Expectation: Due to increased accessibility for all students, fewer students will require accommodations. Accommodations information: Setting accommodations should be provided to the extent practical. With that said, some students will require accommodations that are not available during the Spring 2013 field test. In future administrations, online accommodations will be available to students (ex. text-to-speech). These accommodations will be identified for individual students prior to testing. In addition, paper-based and Braille forms will be available.

Schedule Planning The field test may take approximately one hour Plan for an hour and half to two hours per group (this includes transition time) Plan for as few groups and days as possible Approximately three groups of students per day To the extent possible, students who have taken the field test should remain separate from those who have yet to complete the field test during school hours Summative Online Testing Schedules

Summative Test Creation and Management (DACs and SACs)

Creating a Test Session in PearsonAccess (DACs and SACs) A collection of students taking the same test at the same time/location should be grouped in a Test Session in PearsonAccess Click on the Test Management tab, click on Manage Test Sessions Click New Session to create a new test session Create sessions at least one week before testing window Reference: page 44 in the PearsonAccess Users Guide

TestNav Quick Reference Early Warning Codes An Early Warning System will notify Proctors if testing is interrupted The Early Warning System (EWS) is a feature of the TestNav test delivery system designed to manage student response data transmission. EWS monitors transmission of data to the testing server and records log files to assist with troubleshooting. EWS will send a notification if the system is unable to store responses and log files in the designated save locations. EWS will allow a student to continue testing. Online Test Administrator Quick Reference Guide and EWS codes: http://www.pearsonaccess.com/media/docs/QuickReferenceGuideTN7.pdf Recommend providing a copy of the guide or online access to the guide to Proctors during testing periods Proctors will contact SACS if error messages occur SACs will contact Pearson Customer Service Center Technical Support by calling 1-888-687-4759
