Classroom Policies Please see my syllabus for classroom expectations regarding behavior. At CCA, we don’t just fly, we SOAR!

Grading Policy Listening and Participation 50% Assignments 25% Assessments 25% Please check Q weekly to monitor your child’s progress. Encourage your students to come and see me if he/she has a question about their grades.

Homework Policy Students will be expected to record their assignments in their planners. Unless otherwise stated, assignments are due the following class period. Parents should check planners daily.

Late Work Late work will be accepted with a reduction in points until the unit for that assignment is completed. Late work will not be accepted after the unit test. The teacher reserves the right to determine the loss of points.

Absence Policy We will be following the CNUSD policy on completing work following an absence which states that students have one day for each day absent to complete work missed while absent. Absent students will keep listening and participation points if their work is made up. Note on absences due to Extra Curricular Activities: Students are responsible for getting the work they will miss prior to being out Classwork due on the date of the absence is still due on that day.

ATTENDANCE PROCEDURES If your child is absent, it is essential that you report the reason for your child’s absence to the office as soon as possible. You can report your child’s absence by: Calling the attendance clerk at (951)736-4640 (24 hours a day). If leaving a message, include your name, your child’s full name, grade, and the reason for the absence. Email chesoffice@cnusd.k12.ca.us with your name, your child’s full name, grade, and the reason for the absence. IMPORTANT REMINDERS An absence must be cleared within one week of the absence or it becomes a truancy. Being tardy 30 minutes or more will be marked as truant unless there is a valid excuse provided. Personal/Family emergencies will be marked as unexcused absences. You may submit a request in writing and administration will consider excusing the absence.

Thank you!
