Kantapada/Cuttack Project Initiation Meeting 5 nos. of meeting State, District and Block level Constitution of project cell at Block, District and State Level Constituted at all levels Capacity Building 2 rounds of training for the extension officials of the Block and District held at SIRD. 8 nos. of different thematic capacity building interventions undertaken by Block for various stakeholders. Mobilisation of volunteers of Bharat Nirman is under process. IEC Special initiatives namely -Flex, Banners, Leaflets, MGNERGA Rath, Exposure visits, quiz competition, special Gram Sabha and Panchayat Samiti meeting are undertaken. Special coverage in Doordarshan and local channels as development story. Action Plan Block level action plan formulated and approved. Dept. wise quarterly action plan(8) reviewed at the respective sectoral offices under the BDO Funding Amount Sanctioned - Rs. 35,19,500/- Amount Received – Rs. 26,39,635/- Amount Released – Rs. 15,31,500/- (DRDA) – 15 nos. of training programmes

This endeavour is an ideal platform for co-ordination & co-operation among various stakeholder departments, aiming at convergence of resources & manpower in the effective planning, implementation, monitoring and supervision of various programs under the able guidance of elected officials, non-officials and more so over common mass for whom all these programs have been designed.

Independence must begin at the bottom Independence must begin at the bottom. Thus, every village will be a republic or Panchayat having full powers. It follows, therefore, that every village has to be self-sustained and capable of managing its affairs…. ….. We are unleashing or attempting to unleash the greatest latent powers of the people by giving an authority to Panchayati Raj.
