This persuasive technique attempts to make you believe that everyone is using this product, so you should too. Bandwagon makes people buy the product because they want to fit in or they believe that if everyone else uses it, then it must be good.

This persuasive technique uses a celebrity to try to influence you to buy the product. Testimonials influence the reader/viewer to transfer the respect their feel for the celebrity to the product.

This persuasive technique uses numerical information and percentages in order to show the effectiveness of a product or how popular it is.

This technique often compares a product or a company to another to try to convince you to use only their product/organization.

A "Fear Appeal" is a message designed to elicit fear in an attempt to persuade an individual to pursue some predefined course of action

This persuasive technique uses glittery or attractive words to make you think a product is special. These words are appealing to our emotions, but vague. Examples: honor, peace, happiness, prosperity, freedom Virtually, more, new Low fat, better, pride New, fresh, pure

Humor is used to make people remember a product due to the funny commercial or ad. It equates the product with a good mood or feeling.
